It's been about a month since my last update. My junior year of college started up, and I've been floundering about ever since. It's been a rocky start, what with each class becoming progressively more demanding. I'm in the second 'part' of a two-part Brit Lit class. While the readings are extraordinarily wonderful, they are lengthy and at times difficult. There's that distinct summer feel to my brain, like I emptied out most of my smarts gallavanting around during my free months. Though, ironically, I was working a lot of that time. Go figure! :)

I'm in tragedy over Owen Wilson. I hope he will be all right. That totally floored me.

I saw Josh Groban. Our seats were horrible, but the concert was fantastic. The lighting for this show was probably the best I've ever seen. He was very interactive with the crowd. My heart broke because he actually came right into the audience at one point, driving everyone wild, but I was too far up to be part of the excitement. It was crazy - he did four encores. I'd never seen four encores before. It was well worth it, though. The final final song he did was Awake, which was one of two bonus tracks on the Awake album. Beautiful song; should have never been cut from the official tracklisting. It has long been a favorite, and I never thought I'd get to hear it live based on it being a bonus track. Nope. My wish was granted.

Definitely on a Buffy kick. I've watched about half of Season 5. Oh, Spike. ♥

We are mere hours from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. That means, like many here, I am going into full hibernation mode for the rest of today and the entire weekend. There have been too many close calls with spoilers. I have done so well that I would die to be spoiled now. I can't believe this is the end. It's morbidly depressing and excruciatingly exciting.

I wish those of you on my f-list or simply stopping by that have plans to read HP7 to enjoy yourselves fully! I expect coming online early next week will be an almost overwhelming explosion of talk, delight, horror, and mourning. I am absolutely dying to know what happens and will have to force myself to not look at the chapter titles with every ounce of willpower I possess.

First things first, I suppose. After being disenchanted with my username for a long time, I changed restless_olivia to spelldust. It came from some long list I'd made of possible candidates and, for whatever reason, fit. More on that later. ;)

This journal is on indefinite hiatus. :( Obviously I haven't posted a lot and have been a horrible friend. Life just really catches up to you sometimes, as I know many of you can attest to. My classes last semester nearly killed me and I can't make any promises for the new semester. So if you remove me from your friends lists, I understand completely. I do hope that things will get better and I'll be able to post/comment more. If not, I thank you profusely for the laughs and caring you've given me; thank you for letting me into your lives in even the smallest way. ♥

Yay! Crystal Chappell's official website looks awesome ( http://www.ccandfriends.com/ ) now because my friend has taken over the design. And that's just temporary. I'm tickled pink because we get to do her official messageboard, soon, and that will just rock my world. Isn't it just absolutely bizarre and wonderful when you suddenly are part of something directly connected to someone "famous" you idolize? Wow.

I saw POTC2: Dead Man's Chest on opening day! I'm a bit late on giving my two cents (and have seen it another time since) but I will anyway. For my own sanity. I think if nothing else I can say I really enjoyed it for the most part. Though, duh, my layout says it for me. :)

Thank you so, so much to all of you who wished me a happy birthday on Sunday. I was so touched - so many, many hugs and well-wishes from me to you. I really appreciated it. I have been MIA for months now and that has had to due with some hard times. Finals finished up and I was thrown into my job working feverishly in order to get into a good place for the summer. I went on a trip to Ohio and then to Virginia where I went to the Superstar Saturday and Sunday at Paramount Kings Dominion to see actors and actresses from Guiding Light and As The World Turns. I met my hero, Crystal Chappell, and it was pure and utter magic! Wow. But upon my return, my Grandma passed away and everything has been a bit messy since. I've been consoling my mom and trying to handle things. So thanks, again, for the thoughtful wishes because they meant a lot especially now.

♥ I can only hope things will settle down so I can pay much needed attention to my dear friends here and elsewhere. *hugs*
